Any unconfernce event can seem "weird" for the uninitiated. Here's what attendees to NPSP Days have said about their experiences.

Lousie Gilmour, NPSP Day Toronto 2017

Even though most folks involved with Salesforce would think of 'NPSP Day' as 'Nonprofit Success Pack Day' it's really kind of 'Nonprofit Success with People' day. You'll meet with other NFP SF users of all levels of SF knowledge/experience to work through together the challenges and, yes, charms of having a Salesforce.org account.

The 'un-conference' format lets attendees bring forward to work through the issues that most matter to them. You end up coming away not just with those takeaways that you work through but, just as important, you start to build connections with others in this community.

Our NPSP Day event was a great launching point to get the Toronto, Ontario Nonprofit user group back running so that we can keep the conversation going well beyond the event. We even had two NFPs volunteer their space there and then for future user group events!

If you want to get connected to your community, help benchmark where your own org is at relative to others with similar resources and missions or just get some super quick Salesforce tips NPSP Day is a great starting place.

Steve Weber, NPSP Day Toronto 2017

Ryan’s ‘unconference’ format is a great way to move conversations to what customers want most, and forces partners to think about their real problems and challenges, not our current products and roadmaps. The result is very little selling, and lots of great learning for everyone – customers and partners alike. I’m looking forward to the next NPSP Day!

Sarah Thomson, NPSP Day Toronto 2017

Thank you, Ryan, for leading such an excellent NPSP workshop in Toronto. Events dedicated to the non-profit community are extremely helpful. My understanding of how Salesforce can serve our organization was greatly enhanced by this focused training session, and it was so wonderful to connect with other non-profits using Salesforce. The non-conference format, where participants collectively developed the day's agenda meant we addressed what mattered to us and maximized our learnings. I'll be the first to sign up next time a similar NPSP day is offered again in Toronto.

Norm Copeland, NPSP Day Toronto

Thank you so much for hosting NPSP day in Toronto. My three teammates and I drove 2 and a half hours each way to participate in NPSP. We had signed up to go to the World Tour the next day but due to the distance we had to choose just one - we’re very glad that we chose NPSP day over the World Tour. I am by nature a quiet person and was unsure at first about the ‘unconference’ format but quickly felt comfortable due to the friendly and welcoming hosts and participants. My coworkers and I came away excited about our future use of NPSP and Salesforce as a tool to grow our mission, we also left having a few key questions answered and ideas we want to implement. The 2 and a half hour drive home was put to good use debriefing on our time at NPSP day.

Ronak Mehta, NPSP Day Amsterdam 2017

The NPSP Day in Amsterdam was a very well planned, thoroughly engaging and wonderfully intimate event. As a newbie to the Netherlands, I was able to use the event as a way to meet the local nonprofit community. There's nothing more comforting than being able to speak the same (Salesforce) language with the locals when moving to a new country and that is exactly what I got at NPSP Day. Ryan, Katie and Sergey put on a great event and I can't wait to join them at other such events in Europe.

Sam Vos, NPSP Day Cape Town 2018

Martina Humpolce, NPSP Day Amsterdam 2017

NPSP Day was the day, to which I came with the feeling I know a lot about Salesforce and non-profit area, and left the event with hundreds of new ideas how NGOs can work better and that NPSP can help them a lot straight from the box.

Tamara de La Loza - NPSP Day Amsterdam 2017

I loved being part of the NPSP Day Amsterdam, it was such a collaborative event. We were able to influence the topics discussed and our collective knowledge made the event what it was. Every participant was valued, even as a newbie user I was welcomed into the local Salesforce community. I learned more about what Salesforce has to offer, how I can apply it to my particular work situations, and left with resources and relationships to be able to continue this knowledge. I look forward to participating again soon!

Tom Austin - NPSP Day Amsterdam 2017

This is a great opportunity to connect with your local NPSP community, to learn best practices and to share knowledge in a relaxed and fun environment. Having these kind of discussion can really help us better serve our community.

Eli Kaufman (Director, Naturally IQ) - NPSP Day Amsterdam 2017

This week I had the opportunity to take part in a NPSP day in Amsterdam. This was a community-led event that brought together people from varied backgrounds and levels of expertise. Though my knowledge of NPSP was limited and my main expectation was to learn more (which I certainly did!), I also had a chance to share some tips with the group members (in particular, a handy little chrome extension called Salesforce Navigator.

The value of this event means not only we had a chance to learn about various aspects of NPSP but also get exposed to other useful Salesforce tools and practices. This event also highlighted the fact that there are some different needs of the European market vs. North America, therefore having similar events in Europe would benefit the community further and help it grow.

Trish Perkins, WorldsTouch - NPSP Day New York 2017

There are so many "small but mighty" organizations, not just in the States, but all over the world, who are so grateful for the opportunity to use the powerful Salesforce CRM with the Nonprofit Success Pack to power their fundraising efforts, track their program outcomes, and manage their volunteers. I love working with these folks. They may never be pulling in the big bucks, but in their own way, they are also healing the world. I have rarely felt as close to "my tribe," as I call these folks, as I did at the NPSP Days session in New York last week. They knew they needed help; they knew what help they needed-- and there were lots of folks in the room ready to provide it-- and not just consultants or vendors, though we were there, too. They got help from each other as well. That's what community is all about and that's what NPSP Days is all about. I'm just proud to be able to be a part of it and the whole community around the NPSP.

Manveen Koticha - NPSP Day New York 2017

On June 23rd, 2017 I attended my first NPSP Day Unconference in NYC. It was wonderful to meet so many excited people wanting to help each other. I learned a lot, and it helped me better understand how I can make the most of Salesforce. The event was fun and informative; I got my questions answered and met some wonderful people. I am looking forward to the next NPSP Day and plan to volunteer for sure. Thanks to Ryan Ozimek and all the Facilitators and Speedgeeks for an awesome NPSP Day!!!

Martin Humpolec - NPSP Day Amsterdam 2017

Tara Barr, United Negro College Fund - NPSP Day Washington DC 2017

I attended the first D.C. NPSP Day in 2016 as a complete Salesforce novice. NPSP Day was very much part of my introduction to Salesforce and, more importantly, my introduction to the Salesforce non-profit community. In the past year I have become a certified Salesforce administrator, I've been active in the D.C. Non-Profit Salesforce Usergroup, and (just yesterday) I got a big promotion in recognition of the value I've brought to my organization by effectively managing our Salesforce org.

This past year has brought a lot of changes in my career, so NPSP Day 2017 was a reflective day for me. Whenever I come together with others in the Salesforce non-profit community I always learn a ton and I'm inspired by the innovative ways others are using technology to do good and work towards their organizations' missions. This time was no different. The thing that I really came to fully appreciate at NPSP Day 2017 was how many different roles there are within this community and how we all work together to make technology work well for us. It is a rare opportunity to have end users, developers, admins, consultants, and app developers putting their heads together to share knowledge and solve problems.

I can't wait to be at the third annual D.C. NPSP Day in 2018. Thank you so much for hosting this event and bringing us all together in such a meaningful way!

Scott Williams, Embrace Your Data - NPSP Day Washington DC 2017

The generosity and know-how of the NPSP community is amazing, and you steer the 'unconference' format in a way that really helps connect people around their most pressing needs. NPSP Day is a great event regardless of your level of ability and experience with Salesforce, providing concrete solutions as well as inspiring glimpses of how others are using the platform.

Katie Bluth, Saasinct Solutions - NPSP Day Washington DC 2017

What a fantastic event! I especially enjoyed the involvement all participants played from start to finish. Having been to a number of user group meetings, lunch and learns and conferences, this was by far the most hands on experience yet. While I have been working with Salesforce for 8 years, I was new to NPSP. Throughout the day I was able to share some knowledge, while also learning lots of new tips and features. The mixture of attendees from NPSP newbies and champion users to consultants and technical talent really brought the community together in DC. See you at the next event!

Maggy Fouche, Giordano Dance - NPSP Day Chicago 2017

I found the NPSP Day in Chicago to be a very valuable experience. As a new user of Salesforce I had a lot of questions. The format of the NPSP Day was perfect. Instead of a panel of “experts” or consultants pushing their services, the NPSP Day focused on the participants and what we wanted to learn from each other and teach each other. In the morning we explored what we knew, what was working, and what was not working. From there the facilitator, Ryan, grouped the different topics so each person could focus on what was most important to them and discuss with people who had similar issues. There was a session where people who had success with different apps talked about their experiences. This was terrific because they broke down what worked, how, why, and gave links for more info.

The afternoon was devoted to break-out sessions that covered the specific topics we had identified. Each break-out session was led by a participant who volunteered to discuss what he/she knew. There were plenty of little breaks in between that allowed us to have in-depth discussions with each other. As a result I have so much more knowledge about Salesforce and how to proceed. I still have questions but now I have a network of local folks I can call directly.

Ryan, our facilitator, was terrific. He kept the day on track and kept it humorous and interesting even with complicated matters. It was clear that he really was there for us, and kept pushing to make sure we were getting the information we needed. This NPSP Day was probably one of the best seminars I have ever attended and I will be sure to attend the next one.

Gypsy Burks, Western Rivers Conservancy - NPSP Day Portland 2017

Returning to the nonprofit sector as a Salesforce SysAdmin after a seven year hiatus, NPSP Day was exactly what I needed to give me confidence to forge ahead with upgrades & enhancements at my new organization. It was such a fun atmosphere, a very thoughtful and participatory format -- an overall fantastic leaning experience. Thanks Ryan & Katie!

רויטל טוינה - NPSP Day Tel Aviv 2018

Dave Smith, California State Parks Foundation - NPSP Day New Orleans 2018

"NPSP Day is worth well more than the cost of admission. The information gathered is invaluable but the most informative aspect is sharing problems and solutions with other non-profit Salesforce users who are at all stages of implementing NPSP. Ryan and team are passionate about NPSP and it shows in the quality of the event."

Jonathan Lin, Oregon Environmental Council - NPSP Day Portland 2017

"This was my first 'un-conference', and I found it to be a refreshing take on what could have otherwise been a long string of projector-fed monotony. Compared to other events, NPSP Day was much more interactive, collaborative, and engaging. I was extremely impressed with the rapport that developed among attendees. The crowd was a wide mix of backgrounds and experience levels, but everyone was welcoming and respectful. In terms of content, crowd-sourced structure allowed for considerable variability, but the schedule flexibility meant that I could pursue the topics that I found particularly relevant. I can't think of a single thing I would change for next time. I really appreciate your efforts in putting it together!"

Mardi Diamond - NPSP Day San Francisco 2018

"I am an independent consultant wrestling with what would be a great best practice solution to a difficult requirement. My NPSP Day discussions gave me the information I needed that would work best utilizing standard Salesforce functionality and easy ongoing updating for my client. This, along with multiple tips and AppExchange suggestions, made for time very well spent!"

Steven Han - NPSP Day San Francisco 2018

"My first NPSP Day and definitely won't be the last. Having an un-conference style event benefits everyone involved. The topics covered are determined by the attendees which ensures your burning questions are answered and ensures you learn something about Salesforce you might've not been aware of before. The un-conference style also encourages you to network with others due to the highly engaged format. You're sure to meet at least two people at the event who would be a great thought partner with you.

If you're new to Salesforce, listen in on the conversations taking place and expose yourself even more to the Salesforce eco-system. Ask questions during the breaks.

If you've been in the Salesforce space for a few years, you can contribute to the what-if and edge-case scenarios you've encountered implementing Salesforce and also share best practices you've learned along the way.

I definitely plan to be there at the next NPSP Day in San Francisco, and hope to see you there!"
